Today I did not wake up till three o'clock. Even then Sasha had to get me up. She told me she hadn't woken up till twelve, which I was a little relieved to hear. I think it was a combination of travel exhaustion, and jet lag. I finally had a good safe home to rest my head. I could unload my heaviness. It felt nice to be surrounded by voices when I woke up. We lay in bed and ate cheese with crackers with Sasha, her roommate Prachi, and sasha's boyfriend Jordan. Later we rented those bikes you find on the street. The French call it "vileying". I made it about two blocks before crashing into a fence. Luckily Sasha was right next to me, and she has an exceptional way of making anything funny. I easily laughed it all off, which isn't really like me, but I figured "hey this is an adventure right?" We walked through Paris till we got to the french quarter. We ate crepes and then got the most amazing ice cream I've ever had in my life. It stays light till ten here and every where you got the streets are packed with people. I do indeed see why Paris got it's reputation. It's filled with so much life everywhere you go. We drank tea in a beautiful mosiac filled room in the back of a Mosque. While we were inside it began to pour. We ran home in the rain, and even then Paris looked magical. We are inside now, and our wet clothes are hanging up to dry. I miss you every day I'm here. I see so many sights I want you to see to. Tell me how you are. I love hearing about home.
give a good hug to the kitties and papa,
love
Isabelle
